July 26th: The Day Mick Jagger was Born

Sir Mick Jagger
Born July 26th 1943, Mick Jagger was one of music's greatest. Fronting rock and roll giants The Rolling Stones, Jagger remains world-famous for his talent and impact on the industry. Though he was in the papers for many a drugs or personal scandal throughout his hey-day, Jagger is a hugely influential face in rock and roll music, with everyone wishing they had "the moves like Jagger".
His background was middle-class, originating from Dartford in Kent, so you can imagine how Michael Philip Jagger was quite the rebel at the time. He helped change contemporary youth culture with his musical style and attitude, rewriting the definition of 'cool'. Mick became Sir Mick in 2003 by the Prince of Wales, an official and formal sign of recognition and appreciation of his contribution to music in the last 50 years.
